Welcome to 5th Grade!

I am so happy to be a part of Leonard's 5th grade team! Mrs. Coggins and I have worked together for many years, and we take pride in providing a meaningful, fun learning experience for 5th graders in their last year of elementary school. Our goal is to help all students gain the skills, tools, and attitudes necessary to successfully transition to the middle school. As a teacher, I strive to provide a stable, positive learning environment for all students.  Teaching is more than just a job to me; it is my passion, and I continuously work to build relationships with my students based on mutual respect and kindness.  You can count on me to be an energetic, caring role model who promotes communication and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and real-world experiences.  It is my goal to make sure each child in our classroom reaches his or her academic and social potential.  We will make new friends, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun!

On a personal note, I live in Rochester Hills with my husband, two daughters, and dog. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing and watching sports, traveling up north, and spending time with my family and friends.
