Welcome to my classroom! I have taught in the Oxford School District since 1997 and have taught grades Kindergarten through Fourth grade. I live in Lapeer with my husband a two boys. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy teaching Yoga in my community, reading, and exercising. I also have a passion for Art and Nature.
I think of teaching as more than a job. I love what I do and this reflects in the classroom. I treat each child with respect and dignity and provide a safe and secure environment to learn. In order to do this, I ask for student cooperation and respect in return. I insist on high expectations from each and every child and teach him/her to believe in his/her accomplishments and his/herself.
Since learning is a lifelong process, I guide children to realize that we learn best by making mistakes and taking risks. I also believe that a parent-teacher relationship is very important in order to help each and every child succeed to the best of his/her capabilities.
