Good afternoon,
This is just a reminder that Leonard Elementary will have an Early Release day tomorrow, April 7.
Having to schedule make-up days can be inconvenient and even intrusive to family plans. I know, I have children at all three levels, some will have school tomorrow, some will not. Unfortunately, making up days is outside of our control and there aren’t any other days left on the calendar without extending the school year even further.
What is in our control, is what we do with the make-up day. This is the good news. Tomorrow we are planning a fun day for the kids, and maybe provide a little time for parents to get some weekend shopping or errands done. ????
Students will arrive at the normal time, through normal transportation methods. Kids will have the usual opportunity for breakfast upon arrival. Teachers will take attendance and do a morning routine with the students. At 9:45, we have a professional assembly called, “Fire and Ice” to entertain the students. We will have lunch in the classrooms around 11:00 and begin our regular early dismissal routine shortly after noon.
