She gets to know each student’s individual hobbies and interests, creating a safe learning environment where every student feels comfortable being themselves, learning openly, and making mistakes. She connects with her students by sharing her own hobbies and passions. Her humor, openness, and vulnerability are comforting to students, allowing them to see her as more than just a 5th grade teacher, but also a lifelong friend. In addition to teaching Mrs. Blechel is actively involved in many building and district leadership teams, which contributes to her ability to adapt her teaching to meet the needs of each individual student! We are anticipating that all Oxford Community Schools will be in session tomorrow, but due to slippery road conditions, our buses will not be able to travel on dirt roads for pickups or drop-offs. If your child’s bus stop is on a dirt road, please make arrangements to transport them tomorrow to and from school if it is safe to do so. We are letting you know this evening to allow time for planning, and we appreciate your understanding. If you have questions in the morning, please contact the transportation department at (248) 969-1888.

Congratulations to Senior Jake Champagne on tying the all-time scoring record in the history of Oxford Basketball! Jake’s 22 points on the night makes 1120 for him in his outstanding career and is now tied at the top of the all-time list. Jake will look to be all alone at the top this Sunday in the team’s next game. Congratulations Jake! Go Wildcats!
